Casio GP310 Grand Hybrid Digital Piano

£2,399.00

Sound and touch. The senses that define your piano playing. It's those sensations that have been obsessed over for the new Casio GP310 hybrid grand piano in satin black. Created together with world-renowned grand piano builders C. Bechstein, it delivers an experience you can't mistake. The GP310 actually uses a full grand piano action mechanism for enhanced realism. But this isn't just a gimmick - this is the exact feel of a grand piano. By lifting the lid, you even see the hammers in motion. The drive for excellence is apparent all over the GP310.

Table of the key differences between Casio GP-310 and GP-510:

GP-310

GP-510

1.

Sound Engine Refinements:

Still provides exceptional sound with Casio's AiR Grand Sound Source but does not have some of the advanced features of the GP-510.

Features more advanced sound modelling and tonal improvements over the GP-310, delivering a richer, more dynamic sound. It includes enhanced resonance modelling, better string response, and improved key-off simulation.

2.

Speaker System:

Has a high-quality 4-speaker system, slightly less power and spatial presence compared to the GP-510.

Equipped with a more powerful 6-speaker system (4 main speakers, 2 tweeters), offering greater clarity and projection. This allows for a fuller, more nuanced sound, especially in larger spaces.

3.

Preset Sounds:

Offers fewer custom presets, focusing on the core grand piano sounds without the extra tone variations available on the GP-510.

Includes a greater variety of preset tones, particularly enhanced versions of the three main grand piano sounds (Berlin, Hamburg, and Vienna), with richer voicing and additional custom presets for versatility.

4.

Key Sensor Sensitivity and Response:

Has excellent key action with the same full-length wooden keys and C. Bechstein hammer mechanism as the GP-510.

Improved key sensitivity with higher-grade response sensors, making it more responsive to nuanced playing dynamics and better suited to advanced pianists.

5.

User Interface:

Has a simpler control interface, offering fewer customisable settings.

Includes a more comprehensive control interface, with more display options and tone customization features to tweak resonance, temperament, and more.
